Julia Dreosti is a Principal at Lipman Karas, a specialist investigative litigation practice.
In the arbitration sphere, Julia has experience representing and advising private and government clients across a range of industry sectors including energy & resources, infrastructure, construction, defence, and finance, in relation to ad hoc and institutional commercial arbitrations; investment protection, investor-state arbitration, and sovereign immunity; and related work regarding interim and enforcement measures in support of arbitral proceedings in Australian courts and various Asian jurisdictions.
Julia is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a National Councillor of the Australian Branch of CIArb. She is also a member of the ACICA Practice & Procedures Board.
Prior to joining Lipman Karas, Julia was a senior associate in the Sydney office of a magic circle firm. In addition to practising in Australia, she has also previously worked in Singapore and Paris, and has a Masters in French Law and European Community Law from the Sorbonne University (Paris 1).
